Counselling

As a counsellor, my goal is that my clients have a relational, respectful, and empowering experience through our work together. I seek to help people recognize and utilize their capacities and explore what becomes possible through their agency, resilience and transformation. I particularly love working with children in families because I believe that families are the most important support system and protective mechanism in a child’s life. I want to support parents to become healing agents in their children’s lives and I work to support the voice of the child within family systems. I see my work as both interventive and preventative, supporting families early in life where possible to develop healthy interaction patterns, self-regulation and executive functioning that will benefit family relationships in the present and protect children later in life.

Art Therapy

I offer a range of art therapy workshops designed to help participants explore and express their emotions and experiences through the creative process. Art therapy is a powerful tool for self-discovery, healing and personal growth. As a professional art therapist, I use a strengths-based, emotion-focused approach, incorporating mindfulness and body-based exercises to grow participants awareness and regulation skills. Each workshop is designed to provide participants with a safe and supportive environment to engage with the art materials and the therapeutic process. No prior art experience is necessary and all materials are provided. All art therapy workshops can be adapted to meet the specific needs of your group.

I am dedicated to providing engaging and informative presentations on various psychosocial topics related to attachment, emotion regulation and healthy relationships. As a counsellor and mental health professional, I understand that caregivers are essential when supporting child and family mental health. Psycho-educational presentations will focus on developing the awareness and insight of caregivers to create strong psychological and emotional foundations for children and greater outcomes later in life.
